Oktoberfest 2002

img1.gif      Our annual Oktoberfest dinner/dance was held on Friday, October 18, beginning at 8:30 p.m., with the Continentals Band entertaining the approximately 140 people in attendance with lively and enjoyable music.

After a short break, GK Neil Dorian gave some opening remarks and led everyone with the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.  Associate Chaplain John Shewmaker led the prayers, and asked especially for the victims and families of the sniper attacks.

The traditional buffet style meal was prepared once again by Tom and Mary Kestel, who once again oversaw all its details.

The liquid refreshments were taken care of at the bar by brother knights Mark Emory and Mike McKain.  Dancing and camaraderie were the order of business for the evening in an attractively decorated Cantrel Hall.

Many thanks to PGK Vince Bunag and his wife Glenda for organizing and advertising this event, and to all fellow officers and brother knights, wives, and friends who helped in any way to make this evening a night to remember.
