Become a Knight

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are 18 years of age or older.

A practical Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church, including attending Mass regularly and receiving the Sacraments.

Applicants become members after going through the First Degree ceremony. Subsequent Second, Third, and Fourth Degrees are encouraged for members to come into full knighthood.

Why become a member?

  • "My Dad was a Knight and I want to follow his example."

  • "I feel I can do more for the youth in my community."

  • "My parish has Knights and they are good men. I'd like to get involved."

  • "I have heard good things about the Knights of Columbus and want to be part of it."

  • "Several of my friends are Knights and have had a great experience. I can't wait to join them!"

Men become Knights for a variety of reasons, but always for a common purpose. We want to surround ourselves with men who are strong in their faith, giving of their time and have a desire to make the Knights a great organization in service to others.
